Building a smarter site for higher ed
University of Fredericton

Choosing a university means asking a lot of questions. UFred needed a website that made the answers easier to find.
We redesigned and rebuilt the university’s digital experience to help prospective students explore programs, understand what UFred has to offer, and apply.

01 — Challenge
UFred was evolving, and its website had to evolve with it.
The site needed a complete rethink to better reflect the university’s brand and make it easier for prospective students to find the information behind a major decision, from programs and outcomes to flexibility, support, and next steps.
Behind the scenes, UFred also wanted a more flexible platform that its internal team could manage independently and adapt as the university continued to grow.
02 — Insight
For an online university, the website is more than a first impression.
It’s the campus. It’s where prospective students explore, find answers, hear from students and faculty, and start to picture themselves as part of the university.
03 — Solution
A bold visual direction brought the university’s evolving brand to life, while clearer navigation and content helped prospective students quickly find programs, stories, and faculty information. Behind the experience, we built a modular system of reusable components and templates on a headless CMS. The approach improved accessibility, mobile performance, SEO, and gave UFred’s team greater flexibility to publish and manage content without relying on technical support.
The new site makes it easier for prospective students to get to know UFred and gives the university a flexible platform that can grow along with it.
