Transforming a donation site into a donor experience
Ingenium Foundation

Ingenium Foundation needed a website that did more than accept donations — it needed to show Canadians what their support makes possible.
We redesigned and rebuilt the site around a clearer story of impact, allowing visitors to: understand the Foundation’s role, connect with its mission, and see how their contributions help make science accessible

01 — Challenge
Ingenium Foundation’s website made it possible to donate but gave visitors little reason to.
The site had not been meaningfully updated in several years and no longer reflected the Foundation’s purpose or impact. We wanted visitors to have a clearer understanding of what the Foundation does, how it relates to Ingenium, and, most importantly, why their support matters. The new experience also needed to give the Foundation a distinct presence within the broader Ingenium brand while meeting modern standards for accessibility, mobile usability, and bilingual content.
02 — Insight
Donors don’t just support causes; they support their own values. Before people give, they want to understand the role they can play and what their support can make possible.
03 — Solution
We transformed the Foundation’s website from a place to give into an experience designed around why giving matters.
By connecting to curiosity, discovery, and access to science, we put the Foundation’s purpose front and centre. Clearer donor journeys made it easier to move from understanding the mission to supporting it.
A distinct but familiar visual presence connected the Foundation to the broader Ingenium brand. Accessible content, bilingual functionality, and low-friction conversion paths made the site easier to navigate and act on. Reusable components also gave the internal team a platform they could easily manage and grow.
