Victims Matter

This week, our latest campaign for the Government of Canada premiered on TV and in print.

Developed for the Department of Justice, it is a public service announcement to show victims of crime in Canada where to turn for information about getting help (after calling the police, of course!)

It was also an opportunity for the Government of Canada to showcase its various initiatives to get tough on crime, and reassure Canadians that something is being done.

The commercial was conceived and written by the Acart team, Directed by Dominique Laurence, and Executive Produced by Daniel LeBlanc of Montreal’s La Cavalerie.

We had worked with Dominique and others at La Cav in the past, as it is a recent merger of “Hollywood Nord” studios we have worked with over the years. Dominique was the Director on our most recent Canadian Food Inspection Agency “Be Aware and Declare” shoot, as well as a campaign for Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

The shoot took almost a week to complete in Montreal last month, from pre-production meeting to offline edit. A big thanks to everyone on the agency and client sides for making it all come together!
