Tidbits: A Success

In October, Acartians celebrated survival and hope for women who are living with or have lived through breast cancer.

Led by the inspiring work of Senior Production Designer Cindy LaGarde, Acart’s Cause Loop raised a total of $2,000 that will be donated to Canadian Breast Cancer Network (CBCN) through our Tidbits initiative.

CBCN fills an important role in the high-visibility world of breast cancer advocacy by providing a national link between all groups and individuals concerned about breast cancer. CBCN represents the concerns of all Canadians affected by breast cancer and those at risk, and works to ensure that issues faced by Canadians affected by breast cancer influence decisions of research and health care policy.

Acart’s Cause Loop (our employee-run corporate social responsibility committee) became involved with CBCN’s fundraising when we decided to participate in the organization’s Breaks For Breast Cancer national coffee party event.
