Our CAMRT campaign wins “Better Canada” award

CAMRT CEO Chuck Shields , Rebranding Committee Chair Wendy-Martin Gutjahr, committee member Karen Davis were on hand for the presentation, along with CAMRT board member Gisela Yaroshko and OAMRT’s CEO Robin Hesler – pictured above. Chuck accepted the award on behalf of the CAMRT and Provincial MRT associations, collaborators in this project.

One of Acart’s great Change Marketing clients, The Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT), has recently been recognized by the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) with an “Associations Make a Better Canada” award in the category of public education/information.

According to CAMRT:

“The imageofcare.ca microsite was a key element in the judges’ consideration of the project for this honour. The bilingual site is a friendly place where the public can learn more about who MRTs are, what they do, what to expect when they visit an MRT, and how to launch a career in medical radiation technology.”

We’re really proud of CAMRT’s accomplishment, but are even prouder to help an important healthcare profession get the recognition and respect it deserves. MRTs are the technologists who perform diagnostic imaging examinations and administer radiation therapy treatments. So, if you have ever had an x-ray, scan, MRI, nuclear medicine procedure or radiation therapy, you have been in contact with an MRT. Technologists also work in interventional radiology, assisting with procedures that use imaging to guide catheters, balloons, stents and other tools through the body to diagnose and treat disease without open surgery.
