Helping Egg Farmers of Canada Tell Their Sustainability Story

Over the past 50 years, Canadian egg production has increased by 50% while the industry’s environmental footprint dropped by almost 50%. In the fall of 2017, we collaborated with Egg Farmers of Canada (EFC) to develop a bilingual communications piece to showcase the sustainable practices currently in use on Canada’s egg farms and throughout the Canadian egg industry.

Egg Farmers of Canada’s “Sustainability Story” is an 11-page booklet designed to celebrate how far the industry has come and what’s next on the horizon.

The Sustainability Story is the first part of a larger Sustainability Report, and highlights all the great things Canada’s egg industry is doing to be more sustainable.

The booklet also highlights EFC’s five pillars of sustainability:

1) Protect the health and welfare of their hens
2) Deliver safe, high-quality eggs to Canadians
3) Find new ways to make egg production more environmentally sound
4) Enhance the well-being of others
5) Empower their people
