Our client’s objective
In a decision to separate from the NHL club and the Senators franchise, The Ottawa Senators Foundation needed to relaunch under a new name: The Ottawa-Gatineau Youth Foundation (OGYF). Acart helped launch the new foundation, guide their market positioning, lead their brand foundation, and create their visual identity.
Strategy, Creative Direction, Design, Production
Competition among charities in the National Capital Region is fierce. We had to identify a unique market space that OGYF could own while retaining their accomplishments as The Ottawa Senators Foundation. They wanted to leverage their rich history to evolve into an even more powerful foundation.
We used our brand foundation model to ensure the brand was primed for future consistency and sustainability. We solidified the new foundation’s purpose, promise, values, value proposition, that all exuded their raison-d’être: empowering youth to realize their full potential. From this brand foundation we developed a logo that represented OGYF’s authenticity, confidence, optimism, and ‘take action’ attitude.
