To celebrate the holiday season, Egg Farmers of Canada (EFC) is inviting Canadians to #BeEggsquisite. What does that mean exactly? Essentially, it’s all about helping you be the “hostess with the mostest” by offering holiday tips, advice, and delicious recipes through EFC’s website, social media profiles, and other fun venues. The campaign highlights not only yummy baked goods and main dishes that incorporate eggs (mmm…have we got your appetite going yet?), but also reminds Canadians of the important role eggs can play in their holiday celebrations.
Acart’s involvement in the campaign started with the design of an identifier that’s featured on all materials – #BeEggsquisite (#SoyezAudaciœufs en français)!
The #BeEggsquisite creative revolves around three key messaging pillars: local holiday celebrations, holiday themed egg recipes, and holiday hosting tips. The design reflects this with a look that is festive, friendly, bright, and positive.
In addition to the identifier, Acart produced social media collateral for EFC’s website, Facebook, and Twitter platforms using fun imagery such as eggs dressed up for the holidays. We also designed an adorable animated holiday e-card (released yesterday!) that thanks employees, partners, and suppliers for another successful year.
As part of a blogger outreach strategy, EFC and Food Bloggers of Canada hosted a Twitter party on December 10, which ended up being the #1 trending topic in Canada on Twitter that evening. During the party, EFC had a cooking segment on TV featuring special guest chef Lynn Crawford. For this, our team developed cute chef aprons that were an absolute hit.
And the Twitter party was so much fun that some of our staffers got involved (including myself!).
Our team is so proud of the role we were able to play in this campaign, but even more importantly, we’re proud to support and celebrate fresh, high-quality, locally produced Canadian eggs.
