I don’t see the trends in branding and advertising as being confined to a particular age group. While the Millennials were the early adopters of social media, and the gleeful chaos it brought to marketing plans, the late adopters have happily followed suit. Middle-aged and older consumers expect entertainment and engagement too, now, whether it’s from the Old Spice Guy or a DIY video contest. This is not a fad. It’s just the way people do communication now.
