Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just around the corner, and this year’s sales are expected to break records. Consumers have become more comfortable with doing their holiday shopping online, which means there are more opportunities for cyber criminals to intercept transactions or steal personal information.
This month, our client Public Safety Canada has expanded their Get Cyber Safe initiative to include a two-phase holidays campaign. Phase one uses tips to encourage Canadians to travel and shop safe, while phase two (which will be released in December) focuses on how to be cyber safe when giving or receiving new mobile devices.
The Acart team developed and designed several shareable digital items to support the campaign, including a #CyberSafeHolidays Smart Shopping Checklist, an animated video with shopping tips, and a blog on how to avoid getting “scrooged” by a cyber criminal. We also created organic social media content for Get Cyber Safe to share with their network.
