Brookfield Renewable – Internal Research: Creating a strong employee brand

Brookfield Renewable, a world-leading hydroelectric and wind energy company, needed an international employment brand representative of its workforce, its management, and its culture, yet also aligned with its larger corporate brand (Brookfield Asset Management).

Our unique approach is to build brands from the inside out. We examine how the organization is perceived by its employees and make recommendations to help mitigate negative aspects and positively impact employee retention and morale. Over the course of four months, our team conducted interviews and focus groups with Brookfield Renewable employees in four U.S. states and two provinces to collect data and draw out a holistic image of the company’s employee brand. Across the board, there were resounding, consistent brand traits that appeared. These traits and key research insights were leveraged internally by the Human Resources and Communications teams to achieve their objectives.

We are currently working with Brookfield Renewable to finalize the creative platform for the brand and bring to life a visual example of what it means to be part of the Brookfield team.
